How to Switch Providers?

Switching insurance companies might seem complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. With a little planning, you can seamlessly move your coverage to a new provider—without gaps, headaches, or surprises.

Set Up Your New Policy

After choosing your new provider, confirm the start date and any necessary paperwork (like proof of prior coverage or vehicle details). Make sure your new policy lines up exactly with the end of your old one. This overlap avoids any coverage gaps, giving you peace of mind while you transition.

Notify Your Current Provider

After you switch, let your existing insurance company know you’re cancelling your policy. It’s best to do this once your new coverage is set to begin, so there’s no lapse between policies. If you've already paid for the month/year when you decide to switch, they'll send you a prorated refund for any unused premium.
